IMPORTANCE OF EXTENSION:

 1. The discipline of extension education is to generate knowledge relating to methods, tools, and techniques for the lakhs of field extension functionaries who in turn could utilize it for accelerating the change process in society.

2. It also has to take into account the various problems emerging at the social level due to the implementation of developmental programs.
